Rule 02 of the reserve policy is scarcity: a set has to be retired, or have a published retirement date, before any fee money goes near it. 21309 clears that rule, and like every box it would be bought factory-sealed and never opened.
Retirement in December 2019 is confirmed by both Brickset and BrickEconomy; the LEGO.com product page has since been fully delisted (returns a 404). Checked 12 Sept 2026.
